• Broken fillings, lost fillings, open margins, etc can cause major problems to your teeth if left UNTREATED!
  
  In this case study, a patient had her composite fillings a long time ago. Patient stated that she lost her filling a while back and did not have time to fix it at that moment. The tooth dentin was being exposed and deteriorated slowly over time.
  
  Today, we took radiographs and we could clearly see secondary tooth decay started to spread toward the nerve. Tooth structure was soft clinically. This tooth was symptomatic with cold/warm/sweet/air due to exposed tooth dentin. Root canal therapy, core build up, and porcelain crown were recommended for this tooth.
  In addition, the two fillings next to this tooth also needed to be fixed due to open margins. We explained to the patient that it's best to work on these three teeth together so that we can achieve better sealed margins. Patient agreed to her treatment. We were glad to see the final result!
